1 - use of videos - most parts had some sort of video prop.
they ranged from awkward (an example was on friday where they showed scenes of nature without a real purpose other than god made this) to very well done.

I think it was Sat that they specifically went on a rant about not reaching out. I believe it was the part of the symposium about following Jesus at a distance? The speaker said if you were a baptized male that was not reaching out, you were guilty of following Jesus at a distance and he inferred that you may not make it through the big A. There were also other parts sprinkled in that talked about needing men to take the lead.
i have just found out that my brother (who was one of a bunch that shared this login) has died.. he and his wife were living in another country where they once pioneered.
i didn't see him that often.. such an empty feeling.....
the past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.
Sorry for all involved. You have to be true to yourself and I'm sure you know the consequences that you'll face. But, at the end of the day, we all have to make our own choices.

she's got them before, but not in very touchy subjects.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot the most important takeaway. JWs are obsessed with tablets!!! I kid you not, I have never seen a larger concentration of individuals with tablets in my life. Does the WTS own stock in Apple? It seemed like every other person had a tablet out. Plus people also had their phones out. Of course, many had the stupid JW app but I saw several surfing other sites. Many kids were playing games on theirs.
If you ever see an 80 year old with a tablet, there's a 99.9% chance they are a JW.
They had 2 new songs that you had to go to their website to get the lyrics. That's one way to drive up traffic.
